Parade FAQs:
FAQs
Will the parade be cancelled due to weather?
The Nashville Christmas Parade strives to produce a full and safe event, but sometimes the weather conditions can impact those plans.
The Nashville Christmas Parade will go ahead rain or shine! All participants should arrive as scheduled on the morning of the parade and should be prepared to walk/ride in the rain, this means bringing along rain gear.
The event will only be cancelled or postponed in the event of thunder and lighting or other extreme weather conditions. Any decisions related to the postponement or cancellation of the event due to weather will be in coordination with our public safety partner and the Nashville Office of Emergency Management.
The Nashville Christmas Parade team will attempt to keep all riders up to date on the plans for the day, according to the weather forecast. The schedule may be altered, due to inclement weather.
Is the parade free to watch? (Yes!)
Absolutely! All along the parade route (found here) there is standing room only, and is on a first-available basis, be sure to get to the route early to grab a great spot! Or, if you want a great seat close to the 'TV Performance Zone' you can purchase seated tickets here.
