Allison DeMarcus
ABOUT ME
Allison DeMarcus is a former Miss Tennessee, Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA who began working with Country Music Television in January 2007 when she co-hosted the Miss America Pageant with Mario Lopez.
Serving as a television personality for Country Music Television for the past ten years, DeMarcus has hosted Reel Eats, CMT Southbound, and worked as a correspondent and co-host for CMT Hot 20. Over the years, DeMarcus has served as CMT’s red carpet correspondent covering the AMA, CMA, ACM and CMT Awards and has appeared on CMT’s 100 Greatest Videos, CMT’s 40 Sexiest Videos, CMT Insider, CMA Nomination Special and countless other CMT shows. Allison and her husband, Jay, have appeared together on The Chew, NASHVILLE, Good Morning America and Chrisley Knows Best. DeMarcus was tapped to be the face of CMT and Southern Living Magazine’s cookbook, Country Music’s Greatest Eats. As a contributor and featured personality, DeMarcus was featured on QVC, selling out in eight minutes. DeMarcus also championed Greatest Eats on Fox & Friends, Access Hollywood Live, and on a 15-city satellite media tour. She led sales of the cookbook into a second printing within two weeks of Greatest Eats’ launch.
When she is off camera, DeMarcus serves as President of the Board of Directors of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and is also a Board member of Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, as well as the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant. Allison and her mother, Jane, volunteer as Co-Executive Directors of the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant held annually in her hometown of Jackson. She formerly served on the Board of Directors for The Women’s Fund, Sigma Epsilon Chi Omega Advisory Board at Vanderbilt, Chi Omega’s National Recruitment Team and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee, and has enjoyed volunteering for The Nashville Symphony, Sexual Assault Center, Nashville Humane Association, Nashville Ballet, Second Harvest Food Bank, Nashville Alliance, The Frist Center and the Oasis Center.
Allison has been married to Jay DeMarcus of the Grammy-award winning country super group, Rascal Flatts for the past thirteen years. They have two children together, Madeline (6 1/2) and Dylan (5). Their first and only four-legged child, Priscilla, is a chocolate Chihuahua who is still furious that she is no longer an only child.
